About Us

KCAA is an all-volunteer community-based organization offering
after-school sports programs for the youth of Kohala in
conjunction with the County of Hawaii Department of Parks
and Recreation.  We have been in continuous operation since 1980.

Each sport has a Coordinator who selects coaches, conducts the
team draft from the list of registered players, and arranges
the practice and playing schedules in conjunction with P&R.

More than 80 volunteer coaches participate each year.

Members of the KCAA Board of Directors get the word out to the
Community through school handouts, bulletin board flyers,
and ads in the Kohala Mountain News.  They then supply the
necessary equipment, and provide each player with a uniform
shirt that the player keeps at the end of the program.
